VENDO Potable Vending Platform / with Lynn Kickstarter

This project started in the mission district of San Francisco. In mission we see a large culture of street vending, yet there is lack of adequate equipment. We decided to make an interesting potable vending platform. For funding our project we used Kickstarter.

We installed LED lights that interact with proximity sensor. When people come closer, the lights will lit up, of course only when it is connected to battery. (*Later Mya and I worked on using Dynamo for lights, so it doesnĄ¯t need any battery but itself generates energy.) We considered some hanging options and storage areas.

Then we went back to the mission where we first got idea, and talked with people with Vendo.

Then we talked with TCHO,a local chocolate company to use vendo as a chocolate vending/ promoting mobile platform. With collaboration with TCHO, we rolled the Vendo from CCA(1111 8th. Sf) to TCHO factory (17 pier. sf) passing the ferry building. At that time TCHO was about to launch new milk chocolate, so giving out chocolate while we rolled along the pier. Vendo got a lot of attention from people in the street. A waiter from the nice restaurant ran to us and asked about Vendo as their customers kept asking them. It was so fun.
